Meet Nurtured Pediatrics and Leah Foreman! Nurtured Pediatrics specializes in feeding, oral motor skills, swallowing (dysphagia), self-care routine building, emotion regulation, co-regulation between child and caregiver, attachment, and trauma-informed care.

We thought you might want to get to know them a better and asked them all these great questions to fill you in! The best part of all this is that they are a part of the team we refer to directly in our professional network. We know the therapists personally, have had coffee with them and have a great relationship in caring for our families together.

Tell us about your practice

Nurtured Pediatrics is a pediatric and family therapy practice offering quality, holistic therapies for your family and child. We believe a connected family unit is the foundation of a thriving young life and is the right of each and every family.
All children and families are included in our practice. We specialize in a wide range of congenital and developmental conditions and are available to those with medically complex needs. We work with children from 0-5 years old and their caregivers to create environments and relationships that promote ease in daily routines. These moments include mealtimes, bedtimes, getting ready for the day, handling big emotions, interacting with others, and more.

Everything is easier when the bond between baby and caregiver is grounded and connected. We aim to promote grounded and nurturing relationships between parents and children so life’s moments can be enjoyed. Our services are integrated with offerings including, Occupational Therapy, Feeding Therapy, Developmental Therapy, and Caregiver Coaching. We encourage you to book a Complimentary Consultation to discuss your individual family needs.

What makes you great at what you do?

We value quality services and the expertise of parents. We prioritize using the most up to date pediatric research for treatment strategies. These treatment strategies combined with a value of the priorities of parents is what makes our services excellent. We believe parents are the expert on their children, not the medical professional, and we do everything we can to include your expertise in your care plan and process.

What do you enjoy about this work?

A little one and their parent lighting up when they realize they’ve accomplished something big. A little one trying a new food or enjoying eating for the first time, parent experiencing peace within their household and a connected and nurturing relationship with their child — these are the moments that light me up and are why I do what I do.
