“Professional doulas are not just casual friends and family present to support a woman having a baby. This is an important role; it is needed; it is valued; it is compensated.” – Heather Johnson, RN, BSN, LCCE
Allotribe, LLC is proud to announce their Certified Professional Doula (CPD) Training Program will launch in August 2019. The program is a full spectrum doula training course consisting of 200 training hours over 16 weeks. Students enrolled in the program will be trained on a wide variety of topics, such as the physical stages and emotional implications for pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period; appropriate support measures for each of those stages; infant development, nutrition and feeding guidelines; appropriate medical protocols; family and sibling support; sleep support; providing support through abortion, miscarriage and stillbirth; running a doula business, and much more.
“The doula recognizes he/she is a part of a team of professionals with valuable input, all working toward the same goal: the healthiest outcome for mom and baby. They take pride in themselves and value what they bring to the table. They are a part of a very important TEAM of birth PROFESSIONALS.”
In addition to an extensive and comprehensive classroom environment, Allotribe Training Academy has secured a partnership with metro area hospitals/birth facilities and will be providing students with real, hands-on training.
In honor of the program launch, Allotribe is offering a 60% discount on the Fall 2019 course. For more information or to apply, please visit https://www.allotribeacademy.com.
